Josh Waxman, writer of parshablog, has developed a very cool extension for Firefox called Tanach Linkify. It turns references to Tanach passages into links to the interlinear Hebrew Bible on Mechon-Mamre and turns references to the Talmud into links to that page on E-Daf.

I am very impressed with Josh's work, and I can't wait to see where he goes with it. I am also planning to do some extensive testing of the extension so that I can pass on an helpful info that I find.

On a related note, it sad to me that E-Daf does not display properly in Firefox (nothing major, just the navigation links are bunched together). I will have to check on Monday at work, but I suspect that it will also have issues displaying in Safari. I think I might take a little time and work on that. I am sure that they would like the input.

Chaya's first tooth has broken through! She has been teething for a few months (well, drooling and chomping on stuff, to be exact), but the last few days she has been fussy and chewing on stuff more than usual. Lindsey felt two bumps on her lower gums in the front on Friday, and on Saturday the first of the two cut through. It is kind of weird to feel the little sharp spot in her mouth, and I am going to be more careful from now on about letting her chew on my fingers!

Once again, my lack of posts in the last few weeks is indicative of my busy schedule and the fact that this blogging thing is still not normal for me. Pesach was great, and we are now in the middle of counting the Omer. I am trying to figure out whether or not I should go to the Young Scholars’ conference next month. The cost is pretty high, and I am not getting the information I need from the guy in charge. Hopefully I will figure that out in the next few days.

My web site is coming along nicely. I will hopefully be finished with it soon, and I will be moving my blog to it once it goes public.

Chaya is growing like a weed, and it looks like she is starting to really teethe now. Her attempts at crawling are not all the way there yet, but she is not far off. Before you know it, she’ll be running around getting into stuff. Golly, we need a bigger house...
